The Biggest Re-enactment ever held in Malta and Gozo

If you love history or love to see re-enactments, then this event is an opportunity that you must not  miss.

"550 re-enactors from 17 countries shall bring episodes of Gozo’s history back to life by re-creating landmark events illustrating the French invasion of Gozo, the Islanders’ rebellion, and subsequent liberation.

The re-enactment is being organised by HRGM (Historical Re-enactment Groups of Malta) with the collaboration of members of 60 other re-enactment societies coming from places as far apart as Norway and Australia, and Spain and Russia, and who represent Maltese, French and British military forces, and also a number of civilians.

All events in programme are free of charge"

This event is being held on 9 th June and 10 th June, from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm.

RockAstra

"RockAstra, one of Gozo’s main springtime music events, will be rocking Republic Street – Victoria, Gozo, on Friday 8th June at 9pm. Featuring Victoria’s La Stella Band and a selection of top local artists under the direction of Mro Sigmund Mifsud, this event promises to be a real musical treat.

This event is being organised by the La Stella Philharmonic Society in collaboration with the Victoria Local Council, the Ministry for Gozo, and supported by V18.

Journey – An evening with the artists

"“Journey” a discovery from within is the latest exhibition by Abi Macleod Clark and Emma Borg. The two artists have created 40 new pieces of art about their own personal journeys.

Abi is a mosaic artists who uses recycled materials and Emma is an acrylic painter with a taste for texture – the collection is a diverse mix of colours, images and creativity.

This year marks Emma Borg’s 10th year exhibiting at the Cittadella and it’s exciting to see how far she has come over the years, and as part of this the artists are doing something new, they are inviting people to come and join them on Friday the 8th June from 7.30pm to spend time with the artists, to ask questions about their work, themes, and inspirations."

This event is being held at the Citadel Cultural Centre on 8 th June, from 7.30 pm.

Violoncello and Pianoforte Recital

Tomorrow, 8 th June there will be a live performance  by Luc Tooten and Stéphane De May at the Aula Mgr. G. Farrugia, from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
