European Mobility Week

"Every year, the European Commission selects a theme which each EU Member State follows in their organisation and planning of the European Mobility Week. The theme for 2019 is SAFE WALKING, SAFE CYCLING thus focusing on active mobility."

The Hills - Gozo trail

We will be meeting at the Cirkewwa Ferry terminal at 0830 am to catch the 0900 ferry to Gozo. We will be catching public bus to Victoria from where we will start our adventure.
We will be back to Victoria around 1600 hrs to catch bus back to Mgarr Harbour and take ferry back.

Gozo Trek in aid of R2S Cambodia - 28-4-2018

"On behalf of Right to Smile and as part of our fundraising project in Cambodia 2018 we would like to invite you to join us on the 28th of April for a trekking event in Gozo.

We will meet in Mgarr harbour at 4.30 pm where we will hike along the coast towards ix-Xatt L-Ahmar and Mgarr Ix-Xini.

A donation of €5 will be collected at the meeting point. All funds collected throughout the event will be directed to the R2S foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at improving children's lives. 

For Maltese trekkers you can catch the 3.45pm ferry from cirkewwa. 

Meeting point is at the ferry terminal.

Free Walking Tour Gozo - Victoria and Citadel

Every Saturday from 14 th April to 26 th May, there will be free walking tours of Victoria and Citadel.  The tours will start at noon.  The tour will start at Saint George Square, Victoria.

Gozo Challenge 20km Hike West Coast

On Sunday 18 th March there will be a 20 km walk challenge.The walk will start from Imgarr, then to Imgarr ix-Xini and then to Xlendi and then back to Imgarr.  Dogs are welcome.

The 2 Islands Challenge 2018

Gozo Nature Walk

BirdLife Malta is organizing a nature walk in Gozo on Sunday 18 th March from 8.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

"A walk will be held in the morning whilst in the afternoon, after a lunch in Xlendi, we will visit Ta' Pinu National Shrine - Gozo, Malta (see planned schedule below). 

- Morning Walk: Mġarr – Ħondoq Ir-Rummien – Qala Cart Ruts – Ġebla Tal-Ħalfa – Hardstone Quarry – Qala village
- Lunch (optional): 3-course lunch at Valley View Restaurant, Xlendi 
- Afternoon: Visit to Ta’ Pinu Shrine

Transport will be provided from Qala to Xlendi for lunch after the walk, from Xlendi to Għarb after lunch for the visit to Ta’ Pinu, and then from Ta’ Pinu to the ferry at Mġarr.

* Our meeting point will be at Ċirkewwa at 08:30 sharp and we will return to Malta on the 17:30 ferry.
* Participants must pay their own ferry ticket.
* This event is open for BirdLife Malta members only.
* Suitable for ages 12+

Participation fee
- Trip only at €8 per person
- Trip + Lunch at €21 per person
