A series of creative writing workshops in both Maltese and English with Miriam Calleja in collaboration with Malta Libraries are going to be held online for both Adults and Teenagers. These workshops will be free of charge. To book your session, you need to send an email at events.library@gov.mt .

Literary Contest ‘Literature for Young Adults’ 2018

"“Konkors ta’ Kitba – Letteratura għaż-Żgħażagħ” is an annual contest organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and the National Book Council.

The purpose of this contest is to select, reward and publish Maltese novels that are written specifically for young people; novels that explore themes related to adolescence, and the typical situations young people in this stage of their lives are likely to encounter. For this reason, the organisers aim to gradually increase the availability of Maltese literature in this genre, thus sparking young people’s interest and motivation to read books written in Maltese. As a result of this contest, the organisers hope that the submitted manuscripts will be of the highest literary merit."

GOZO LIVE GOZO COLLEGE 2018 WRITING COMPETITION PRIZE GIVING

"There will be an event on:

FRIDAY 8 JUNE AT 5 PM AT GOZO COLLEGE MIDDLE SCHOOL (NEXT TO Arkadia)

to celebrate the 2018 Gozo Live Gozo College Writing Competition. All students who entered together with their parents and other family members and their teachers are invited to attend.

This year a record number of 205 entries were received. Winners are still being decided as the judges continue to work, however every student will be receiving back their entries with comments from the judges."

2018 GOZO LIVE PLAY WRITING COMPETITION

For the 4th year running the Gozo Live play writing competition will take place this year. Writers are invited to submit their plays.
