What steps should entrepreneurs and government take to become more innovative? - Youth Essay Competition

The European Commission Directorate General for Single Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, has launched a youth essay contest aimed at young people between 18 and 25 year old from European Member States and COSME partners countries.  The title of the essay is "What steps should entrepreneurs and government take to become more innovative?"

Longest Lunar Eclipse of the 21 st Centuary

Today we have the chance to see the longest lunar eclipse of the 21 st century.  It will start around 8.00 pm and continue at around 11.00 pm.  A spectacle not to be missed.

At Fort St. Elmo, Malta, the Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy, in collaboration with the Department of Physics, Astronomical Society of Malta, Esplora and Heritage Malta, is organizing an observation event for the total lunar eclipse.  Telescopes will be set up on site, although the eclipse itself shall be visible with the naked eye. People can also observe the planet Mars, which will be almost at opposition, at its closest to Earth since 2003.  The event will be free, and everyone can attend.

Fun with crafts at the library - Xaghra

On Saturday 28 th July, at the Xaghra public library, there will be an activity for small children, by the name "Introducing the art of crafts".  This event will be held at 10.00 am.

Collective Ceramic Art Exhibition

From Friday 27 th July to Saturday 18 th August, at the Ministry for Gozo Exhibition, there will be a collective ceramic art exhibition by 12 local artists.  The exhibition will be open everyday from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Gharb Village Feast

This week is the village feast of Gharb.  The feast is dedicated to Visit of Our Lady to St. Elizabeth.
